Volunteer members of the Big Bear Valley Astronomical Society (BBVAS) will be setting up telescopes on this the moonless and darkest night of the month at one of their favorite dark sky sites in the Big Bear Valley, the “High Chaparal.”
The public is invited and encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity in joining us under the stars and telescope on this dark night and to bring along their own telescope and binoculars if you have one and talk astronomy and telescopes with your local amateur astronomers. Bundle up in warm clothing and bring a chair if you have one.
Disclaimer: All astronomy events are free, begin at dusk and are weather permitting – Always refer to this site for event status and cancellations.
The High Chaparal is a dirt cul-de-sac in a residential neighborhood, please be respectful, quiet and do not trash, thank you.
