BBVAS – One Sky Week Star Party

In honor of Big Bears continuing movement to make Big Bear a Dark Sky site, volunteers from the Big Bear Valley Astronomical Society (BBVAS) will be hosting a community star party in Erwin Lake Park at 1140 Hatchery Dr, Erwin Lake.

This is an open and free event where guests will have the opportunity to view various deep sky objects including one of our favorite planet, Saturn who will be shining high and bright on this moonless and dark night.

Guests are encouraged to bring their own telescopes and binoculars if you have one (not necessary) and come talk astronomy with your local amateur astronomers.

Dress warmly and remember all astronomical events are held weather permitting. Always refer to this site for last minute changes and cancellations.
